I have been stopped by the cops four times in the last three months!!! I was stopped this time because of the tint on my windows!!! They asked me "what kind of work do you do?", Why does that even matter!!! I had my seatbelt on , my hands were on the steering wheel 10 and 2. I cant win for losing with the po po. I guess I should be glad they didnt shoot me by mistake. Im pissed

I feel you, it gets ridiculious. I think it has more to do with being black and male than just black. I have noticed whenever my husband and I are in the car together and he's driving, we usually get stopped. When Im driving,it rarely happens(and he's a much better driver than I am lol). When you get upset than you risk getting a Rodney King. So what do you do?
I know exactly what you are talking about in 2007 I was pulled over for driving a typical black man vehicle, Taho, 22inch rims and tint. The officer said that I was playing loud music. As a mother, social worker, and community activist I was outrage and because I was black and in a black neighborhood I remained silet for fear of being lock up that day and my four-year-old daughter was in the back seat. My brother told me that he get picked on while driving black and I always felt that was a lie until it happen to me. However, I didn't remain silent and after several court apperances and statements that I was at work when the loud music was played my case was finally dismiss about seven months later. I had to get a lawyer and I file a complaint and almost two years later that complaint has never been answered in beautiful city of Savannah, Ga. Driving while black is not a myth!
I HAD A CAT HAVE THE NERVE TO ASK ME WHY AM I GOING TO WORK SO EARLY! YOU GOT TO LAUGH AT THEM!
